on the Circle/Metropolitan/Hammersmith & City lines, and on the
Northern line, about a ten-minute walk.
- Barbican, on the Circle/Metropolitan/Hammersmith
& City lines, about a five-minute walk.
- St. Paul’s, on
the Central line, about a fifteen-minute walk.
Shire House is also about a ten-minute walk from
Old Street Station, and from Liverpool Street Station.
If you’re not taking the tube, you can still
orient yourself to one of the tube stations, or you can lookup 23
Shire House on Google maps, and enter your starting address there.

From Moorgate Station [Plan
your journey to Moorgate Station]
Follow the signs “Moorgate West Side,
Northbound Busses, Barbican Centre”, then at the top of the
stairs, turn right and use the exit marked “Finsbury Square,
Northbound Busses”. Upon exiting the station, turn left and
head north on Moorgate. Turn left on Chiswell (you’ll
see Finsbury Square ahead and on your right). Proceed along Chiswell
and turn right into Lamb’s Passage.

When Lamb’s Passage bends to the right,
walk left across the parking lot.
You’ll see a large green sign that
says “Shire House 11 Lamb’s Passage”. Press the
buzzer for number 23.

From Barbican Station [Plan
your journey to Barbican Station]
Walk straight out the doors (there’s
only one exit), and cross Aldersgate Street at the light. Continue
in the same direction along Beech Street, which is a tunnel under
the Barbican. At the end of the tunnel, Beech Street changes to
Chiswell Street. Continue on, past the Guild Hall Residence on the
left and “The Brewery” on the right. Take the first left,
which is Lamb’s Passage.

Take Exit 1 marked “Aldersgate
Street, Newgate Street, Museum of London, Barbican” and proceed
down Aldersgate all the way to Barbican Station. Turn right onto
Beech Street, which is a tunnel under the Barbican. At the end of
the tunnel, Beech Street changes to Chiswell Street. Continue on,
